The Liverpool Seed Fund and its partner organisation Liverpool Ventures hosted a summer drinks reception attended by around 100 people.
Guests, who included members of the local professional community and representatives from the universities, incubators and the local science and technology sectors, enjoyed wine and canapés in the stylish surroundings of Albert Dock-based, Babycream.
The £27m Liverpool Seed Fund was launched in 2005 to invest in early stage businesses, technology, IP and inventions and has already backed 35 companies, investing £8.2m and committing a further £0.8m.
The plush surroundings of the Malmaison played host to MSIF's Small Firms Fund annual summer drinks reception for clients and mentors.
Over 100 guests sipped wine and feasted on mini hamburgers and fish and chips whilst enjoying stunning views of the Mersey waterfront in some rare summer sunshine.
MSIF's £20m Small Firms Fund provides loans from £3k to £150k to businesses based in or prepared to relocate to Merseyside.
