ICT Sector Networking Event in Association with Digitalinc
13th March 2008
The Tate Gallery, Albert Dock, Liverpool
MSIF and ICDC co-hosted a networking event for businesses working Merseyside’s thriving ICT sector.
The event was held at Liverpool’s Tate Gallery and attended by around 50 guests.
Two keynote speakers presented at the event - first up was Anish Kapoor, CEO and co-founder of software company, Yuuguu. He talked about how the company has approached the challenge of creating a significant online presence without spending the earth and the lessons they have learned along the way.
Second guest speaker was Stewart Townsend, Manager of Startups and Emerging Markets EMEA at Sun Microsystems. Stewart looked at “Red Shift” or what happens when companies expand rapidly and what they can do to make sure they’re ready for the problems of success and how Sun has helped some one of these companies tackle this.
This was the third in a series of events MSIF has run specifically for the digital industry. The aim is to encourage businesses to network with each other and provide them with the opportunity to meet key people working in ICT.
