John Evans
Primary Expertise: Health and Safety

John started in health and safety back in 1978 as a health & safety advisor for the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company. He joined the Liverpool City Council in 1992 as a health & safety enforcement officer with the Environmental Health Unit, eventually becoming the corporate health & safety manager for the City Council, a post from which he retired in August 2003.

He is a Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (FIOSH) and a Registered Safety Practitioner (RSP). Previously John has been chairman and executive committee member of the Merseyside branch of the institution of Occupational Safety and Health , chairman and executive committee member of the Merseyside Occupational Health & Safety Group, chairman and an executive committee member of the Merseyside and Cheshire Construction Safety Group as well as a committee member of the North West Safety Institute.
