Trevor Edwards
Primary Expertise
- Business Planning

Trevor was educated at the local Grammar School and
graduated in 1970 with a degree in Chemistry from UMIST. His initial
employment was as a management trainee at a national contractors
plant hire company working in all areas of their business. This
initial experience was followed by a 10 year career in manufacturing,
starting in production planning and line supervisor positions. He
rapidly progressed through departmental management in the pharmaceutical
industry and spent the last six years as operations director of
a venture capital funded company producing cloned plants for the
horticulture industry.
In order to move into general management he took a year out and
studied full time for an MBA at Cranfield. This was followed by
spells as commercial director with two companies, the first involved
a turn-around of a failing subsidiary of a top 100 plc, the second
the integration of the newly acquired subsidiary and delivering
the inherent value in the business.
In 1990 Trevor joined Rentokil as General Manager of their troubled
Liverpool based products business. During his tenure the business
was turned around, turnover doubled to £20m with profits increased
from £400k to £3.5m. In 1999 Trevor set up his own business
in document security, which was sold at the end of 2000, and now
he assists businesses to plan, fund and implement changes to transform
their business and profitability.
