Funds Overview
We currently run four funds which can help a variety of business requirements:
The Liverpool Seed Fund (£27m)
The Liverpool Seed Fund is a £27m fund which invests in early stage businesses with intellectual property, technology and innovations.
Seed funding can support three stages of development: proof of concept (£50,000 to £100,000) commercialisation (up to £350,000) and first round venture capital (up to £750,000).
The Liverpool Seed Fund only invests in limited companies.
MSIF Small Firms Fund (£20m)
The Small Firms Fund provides loans (not grants) of between £3000 and £150,000.
Sole traders, partnerships and limited companies can apply for a loan to help them get started or expand. Our loans are designed to be flexible and meet your needs and, alongside the finance, we provide a range of extra benefits designed to support you, save you money and help your business succeed.
MSIF Mezzanine Fund (£20m)
The Mezzanine Fund provides loans between £150,000 and £1million. An MSIF Mezzanine investment is a fixed term loan which has either a redemption premium or equity option attached to it. In most cases the Fund charges a premium on the loan.
The Mezzanine Fund only invests in limited companies.
MSIF Venture Fund (£40m)
The MSIF Venture Fund provides equity investments of up to £3m. These investments involve taking a minority stake in the business and come alongside a range of benefits designed to add value to the business and provide specialist support to the management team to help the business progress.
The Venture Fund only invests in limited companies.
