New Recruit Joins MSIF’s Venture Fund

A new Investment Manager has been recruited to Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
Jon Wormald (29) has been appointed as Investment Manager to MSIF’s £40m Venture Fund.
He joins the Fund from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent six years working in audit and transaction services in the entertainment, media and industrial products and services sectors. He was appointed to the role of manager in January 2005.
Jon will be working alongside Mark Borzomato, Matt Allen and Akshay Bhatnagar on the growing number of transactions being looked at by the Venture Fund.
Mark Fuller, MSIF Managing Director said: “We are pleased Jon has joined the Fund. We are increasingly busy with a lot of interesting proposals in the pipeline. Jon is a high flyer with the potential to be a great asset to our growing team.”
Jon lives in Salford Quays with his wife. He is an avid football fan who also referees at a semi-professional level.
MSIF’s Venture Fund provides equity investments of up to £3million and supports businesses based in, or willing to locate a substantial proportion of their company to Merseyside.
