Matt Allen
Matt qualified and trained at Ernst & Young’s North West office, qualifying as an ACA in September 2000, following which he moved into Lead Advisory within Ernst & Young’s North West Corporate Finance team. He worked with the team for 18 months, completing a number of MBOs, MBIs, acquisitions and disposals, and gaining substantial experience within the corporate finance and private equity arena.
In February 2002, Matt left EY and spent over a year as Group Financial Accountant at support services business Parkman Group plc (now Mouchel Parkman) having joined them shortly after Gresham Private Equity had partially exited in mid 2001 via a full listing on the LSE, following a MBO a few years earlier. Matt was involved alongside the FD in a number of acquisitions and stock market reporting.
Matt joined MSIF in February 2003.
Little known fact:
Although a staunch Evertonian, Matt once played at Anfield.
